An afternoon at the ballet

I recently saw the Swan Lake ballet by Sofia’s NationalBallet at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury with some friends.

We managed to get matinee tickets through showfilmfirst.com. This is a ticket site that gives you free *you heard me, FREE!* access to films and shows that they think will be right up your street. How can you say no to that!? This is perfect to sign up for as you never know when a spontaneous viewing could come along.

I’ve never been to the ballet before but am always up for trying something new and this girls, is why that YES attitude comes in handy…

Now, I’d say he was worth going for alone.

That aside, the ballet and Tchaikovsky’s score was beautiful. I was completely in awe and those little girl dreams of growing up to become a prima ballerina and being allowed to wear a tutu came flooding back! Although they are no longer at The Waterside, the Bulgarian company are currently touring the country throughout July performing not only Swan Lake, but Giselle and Don Quixote so check them out if you get the chance. Dates here!

However, if sitting through a couple of hours of ballet isn’t your thing, then here's a tidbit for you in the form of Christian Siriano's Spring/Summer 2013 collection and film
